     2011, dated 9.1.2012.

In the G.O. first read above sanction was accorded for creation of 9569 School Assistant posts under Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and filling up of the posts by direct recruitment.

2.       In the reference 2^nd read above, the School Education Department have requested for modification of the above order in so far as filling up of the posts by direct recruitment, as only thirty percent of the above posts can be filled by direct recruitment and the remaining posts have to be filled by promotion from the feeder categories as per the Service Rules governing the post of School Assistant.

3.       In the circumstances explained by the School Education Department, in partial modification of the orders issued in the G.O. first read above, Government hereby order that the posts sanctioned in the G.O. first read above, shall be filled as per the provisions of the relevant service rules governing the category of the School Assistant.

4.       The Education (SE.Prog.I) Department shall take further necessary action in the matter accordingly.
